Dow transports sinks over 100 points will all components falling, despite bounce in broader stock market

The Dow Jones Transportation Average sank 111 points, or 1.0%, with all 20 components losing ground, as the transport-sector tracker bucked the bounce that has lifted the broader stock market into positive territory. The Dow transports were being led lower by shares of trucker J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. , which shed 1.8%, and logistics company Expeditors International Inc. , which slid 1.7%. Among the most-active transport components, shares of American Airlines Group Inc. gave up 1.2%, Delta Air Lines Inc. dropped 1.0% and Southwest Airlines Co. fell 0.3%. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 14 points, or less than 0.1%, but had been down as much as 216 points earlier. The S&P 500 gained 0.1% and the Nasdaq Composite tacked on 0.2%, reversing earlier losses of as much as 0.6% for the S&P 500 and 0.9% for the Nasdaq.
